Cardmaking Frayed Flower

You Will Need

  • Craft Asylum - Meadow Sweet - 12 x 12" Paper Pad (480128)
  • Craft Asylum - Meadow Sweet - Embellishment Set (480111)
  • Coloured Card
  • PVA
  • Foam Pads
  • Double-sided Tape
  • Corner Punch

  • Cover the front of a rectangular card blank measuring 16.5 x 9.5cm with pink paper and round off the bottom left corner using a punch.
  • Use double-sided tape to attach a 5 x 14cm band of stripey patterned paper as indicated and then use foam pads to attach the label die-cut shape included in the paper pad.
  • Hand-cut three circles from shades of blue paper. The circles should measure approximately 6.5cm, 4.5cm and 3.5cm in diameter.
  • Make 1cm cuts all the way around the circles from the edge towards the centre to create a frayed appearance. Use glue to stick them together to create a layered flower.
  • Attach a pink brad through the centre of one of the small die-cut decorative circles and attach this to the centre of your flower using foam pads.
  • Draw two basic leaf shapes onto different shades of green card and curl with the back of a pair of scissors. Stick the leaves and flower into position using PVA.
  • Complete your card by using a foam pad to attach the die-cut phrase 'Sweetheart' from the paper pad.
