With the nights drawing in and the mornings drawing out it’s a sure sign that autumn is upon us.

It’s time to start adding some autumn additions to the house and making things somewhat cosier. Here, we’ve got some ideas for doing just that.

Leaf Bowls

These beautiful leaf-shaped bowls are perfect for adding a touch of autumn. Using some clay, you can design a bowl in the shape of your choice. Plus, when you come to completing it with paint you can match it to any colour scheme!

Leaf Candle Holders

Bring the autumn in with these cute leaf holders. You can turn a plain old jar into this cute autumn addition, using some leaves on the outside, some PVA glue and a sponge brush to spread.

Autumn Wreath

Fabrics are essential for this intricate wreath make. The pumpkins can be created using fabrics and stuffing prior to the wreath making. Then you can build the rest of your wreath using a variety of hessian fabric and artificial leaves and berries. We recommend working off a hoop to help keep the wreath structured.

Leaf Fairy Lights

This is such a simple make! Jazz up some cheap fairy lights with some autumnal leaves. Preserve the leaves by concealing them in wax papers (you’ll need an iron to do this) and then add them to your fairy lights using a super glue or strong adhesive.

Mason Jar Vases

Keep your flowers hydrated with these pretty fall mason jar vases. A basic jar can be upcycled with the addition of some paint (again, you can match this to any colour scheme) and then can be fitted with a personalised hessian sleeve – to achieve this you can use a stencil, thread or some other materials.

We hope we've given you some ideas for adding some autumn to your home! Check back on our blog for some more inspo soon!
