There's nothing more exciting than the arrival of a newborn. What could be more special to new parents than some personalised and super cute handmade Baby Milestone Cards that are perfect for creating memories. We've come up with two ideas, but once you get started your creative flair will just keep spiralling.

Below is a video of how to make them, but if you'd prefer a break down of instructions, these a written below too.

Giraffe card

  • Cut a rectangle of coloured card and round off the corners with a punch before matting onto a rectangle of white card.
  • Use your PC to create and print the individual sentiments onto white card and crop with a scalloped circle die.
  • Die cut a ring of coloured card and attach to the scalloped sentiment before trimming a little away from the left-hand edge using the craft knife. Attach the sentiment to left of the base card.
  • Die cut two giraffes from yellow and orange card together with the nose, eye, tail and the tip of the antler from grey card.
  • Die cut the detail into the yellow giraffe and mount directly over its orange counterpart before adding the grey die cut pieces.
  • Mount the assembled giraffe onto the card using adhesive foam pads and die cut a series of tiny dots using the mask die before attaching to the card around the die cut giraffe.

Duckling card

  • Cut a rectangle of coloured card and round off the corners with a punch before matting onto a rectangle of white card.
  • Use your PC to create and print the individual sentiments onto white card and crop with a scalloped circle die.
  • Die cut a ring of coloured card and attach to the scalloped sentiment before mounting onto the base card.
  • Die cut the duckling from yellow and orange card together with an orange beak.
  • Trim away the legs of the yellow duckling and cut the orange duckling in half before attaching the bottom half in place to the rear of the yellow duckling.
  • Attach the beak and mount onto the base card using adhesive foam pads.
  • Die cut several tiny dots using the mask die and attach around the duckling in a random fashion.
